To demonstrate care and concern for others is both a basic human value and lies also at the heart of Christian witness and service – witnessing to the love of Christ for people in greatest need and serving the neighbours we find alongside us. At St George’s, we seek to respond pastorally to the needs and changing circumstances of parishioners and fellow church members. Two Pastoral Coordinators assist the vicar in arranging pastoral visits and the taking of Holy Communion into peoples’ homes, especially where people are housebound or face long-term illness. Holy Communion is also taken on a regular basis to our local residential home, Sunrise Senior Living. Some of the most effective pastoral care is exercised through people simply supporting one another on a day to day basis. If you would like to receive a visit from us, please contact the vicar or the church office.
